Proof of Concept

A haptic (touch) belt indicates direction by vibrating in the direction of the North Pole. In addition, GPS is used to provide an alternative landmark. We use 4 motors & make use of the human perceptual system to interpolate to provide a continuum of potential readings at a resolution only limited by the perceptual system.

The Proof of Concept includes a digital compass and a GPS. The electronics box can be reduced 70% in size while the belt can be a standard belt size.
