Perry J. Roach (BA), Chief Executive Officer, Tactile Sight Inc.
Perry
Roach brings 19 years of corporate management, sales and operations
experience to Tactile Sight Inc. Perry was formerly Area Sales Manager
- Canada with Penske Corporation, a division of GE Capital. His role
was to start up Penske as a new company in Canada, heading Sales
operations. Perry exceeded all profit plans and won awards for Highest
Revenue Sales in North America. Perry left Penske to form NetSweeper in
1998, a global company providing internet filtering solutions to guard
against online internet abuse. He currently acts as CEO, where he has
led Netsweeper through seven years of growth.
Dr. John Zelek (PhD, PEng), Chief Technology Officer, Tactile Sight Inc.
Dr.
John Zelek, the original creator of the Tactile Sight technology, is a
tenured Associate Professor in the Systems Design Engineering
department at the University of Waterloo. Dr. Zelek's research has been
featured on the Discovery channel Daily Planet show (2005, 2003), CBC
Newsworld (2002), and the Globe & Mail (2002). He is also the 2001
award recipient of the E. (Ben) & Mary Hochhausen Fund for research
in adaptive technology for visually impaired persons, awarded by the
Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB), one of only 3 ever
awarded.
